Predictive Coding 기술이 소리없이 마켓을 잠식하고 있다는 소식
As you open your calendars on December 1 to the sound of Jingle Bells, there’s another countdown in 2014 and it’s not to the tune of Auld Lang Syne. It’s been a big year for big data, and Kroll Ontrack has this information on the biggest three trends in e-discovery this year.
- Predictive coding: In 2014, at least 40 percent of the 550 law firm and corporate e-discovery professionals surveyed by Kroll Ontrack said they used predictive coding technology in at least one matter. “Predictive coding is finally catching on,” said Joe White, senior discovery services consultant at Kroll.
- New forms of evidence: Social media, bring your own device practices and the Internet of Things were all sources of electronically stored data in 2014. According to the survey results, more than 50 percent of law firms and corporations said they were involved in a matter with social media data and 58 percent said they had a case with at least one e-discovery case involving personal devices.
- Cybersecurity: Target, Home Hardware, etc.—it seems that for every day in 2014, there’s a new data breach. And those surveyed by Kroll agreed. Sixty-two percent of respondents said security concerns impacted their organizational e-discovery practices in some fashion.
